Anna Smutny

 

has been dancing, and working with movement full time since she can remember.

Dancing in studios since the age of three until age sixteen , figuring things out through the body just comes naturally!

Anna;s first started taking  choreography

– with dance partner Elisha Conover Arthurs, under the name Frick and Frack hip hop choreographies for local dance community events in Toronto, and in Jamaica,

– L.F. Tria  performed  at the Mel Lastman square for Urban music and dance  artists  against violence in the community in 2008

It was these hip hop,reggae, and contemporary dance creations that got Anna interested in pursuing choreography full time.

In 2006 she graduated from Concordia University with  B.F.A in Contemporary Dance.

since graduating works she created include ;

Thick Motions , was presented at F.A.T (FASHION ALTERNATIVE TORONTO) in 2008,

– Unravel a solo presented in La Vitrina at The National showcassed under The  Festivalisimo (at Latino artist festival in Montreal, in 2009

– Right here, Right now, was presented in a major Fundraising event  Big Art For Little Minds Toronto 2009, at  F.A.T (Toronto 2010 and  in the  Series 8;08 (Toronto 2010).

-Her last work untitled was a co collaboration with dancer- choreographer Emily Gualtieri and was presented at the Series 8:08 in Toronto this April 2012.

– series of photographs Hidden in the dep(th) with collective A.K.G-F at  F.A.T, in Toronto 2012.

As a dancer and performer Anna has worked for

 – PARTS+LABOUR_DANSE, the Calculated risk project was presented in Toronto at the Hot from the frying pan series in april 2012,  –  Guelph University as promotion for the International Contemporary Dance festival,

 –  at the Judson church in New york city June 2011.

She has also worked extensively with artist and sister Zoja Smutny in both her work for stage , and film.

Endings, is  a full length work that was presented in Montreal at studio 303 (2010),

– in Prague at the 4+4 Days in Motion Dance and Theater festival 2009

– and in her film in Between Time, filmed in Montreal 2010, presented at the Cannes film festival in 2011,

– worked with KTWG karen (teacher working group)on the Thai Burma border
– worked and lived in Thailand for 3.5 years
– lived and worked as school teacher in Athens Greece 6 years
– passionate about justice and traveling
– taught at moksha Yoga NDG as main teacher for three years
– vipassana meditation retreat twice
– Thai yoga masseuse
– fluent in 4 languages
– interested in building communities and support networks
– really interested in the challenge and the flexibility to move relocate start all over again
– motivated to live in multicultural nations, in multilingual situations.

– 37 years old
– live in Prague as a yoga teacher and Massage therapist

 

 

Apostolis Tsepapadakis

 

– Is 29 years old and lives in the city of Heraklion on the Greek island Crete.

– Played basketball in the team Irodotos from the age of 10 until he became 20.

– Studied Logistics in TEI of Heraklion.

– Working as an insurance agent for the last 5 years and has his own office for the last 2 of them.

– Had sailing lessons and he loves it.

– Playing guitar with his friends and they have a greek hard rock band called Geenna Pyros.

– He loves to travel around the world.
